Daylesford Accommodation - The Barn Daylesford

Thank you to The Houses Daylesford for honouring a booking made 2021. The Barn was worth the wait. Quirky and eclectic in its presentation, comfy and snug in its appointments. Beds beautiful to sleep in, and the under floor heating took care of a bleak June weekend.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, using the Aga for some delicious home cooked meals, whilst a game of cards in front of the log fire occupied a wet winter Sunday. Also managed a trawl of the shops and galleries. Only issue was hot water!

One of my best accommodation experiences. Unique style, including a large open living and big garden area. Designer brought the anywhere timber , fabric, art pieces together, re-craft to a hotel barn. I was detail looking for each door, window, handrail, wall face ,joinery in a general gable open roof atmosphere.

Spacious and beautiful. It definitely has some quirks, but that is all part of the charm. Very warm so don't stress that it is a really big barn. It has everything you really need. Beds were comfortable and huge. Very beautiful and decent size garden that is enclosed if travelling with dogs. Great location and easy parking. Would recommend and absolutely stay again.

Such a lovely, cosy (and luxurious) barn stay in the heart of Daylesford. Perfect for a group. We loved the old country kitchen!

I had a beautiful stay at The Barn. Hosts were responsive and position was great as it was close enough to walk into town. The house itself was stunning and had everything I needed. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

What an amazing place in a beautiful town. We had a glorious few days in the barn and will definitely come back again. We loved cooking in the kitchen and eating out in the garden. Easy walk to town with great restaurants and plenty of places to by food. Thanks ‘The Barn’ for making our Daylesford stay so awesome… p.s. The Aga in the kitchen rocks!

Excellent location. Beds were very comfortable. We were so impressed with how cozy and warm it was considering it was an open, older building. The under floor heating was wonderful. As per previous reviews, it is an open plan arrangement so keep this in mind with who you're booking the place with, but as a couple of friends,

What an absolute delight. The place is immaculate & just like the pictures. Great communication, ease of booking & all check info provided promptly. Beautiful cafe next door, markets around the corner on Sundays and short walk in to town. It doesn’t get much better than this beautifully renovated barn.

Only 10 min walk to town and next to two gorgeous cafes. It is a bit dark inside which is great for winter. Also just think you should know that the 3 bedrooms, while gorgeous are all open to each other or to the lounge room (mezzanine), so there is no privacy in bed in that way. Once one person is up, all are up really. But then it is a barn so that is all part of the novelty. It’s beautifully decorated and super cozy.

Really fun fit out, plenty of space for three couples. We stayed here alone, but kept saying how fun it would be to stay with trusted friends. (I say trusted, because it’s quite open, so privacy could be a concern if you didn’t know the other guests well.) The place was toasty warm for the cold winter days. Loved the library in the downstairs toilet :)

Great beds and linen. Open plan so if you’re sharing with other couples sounds will travel between the 2 back bedrooms - one on the ground floor and one on the top floor. The other bedroom is open to the lounge room as it overlooks it from the mezzanine level. Didn’t bother us one bit - in fact we loved it, but we are a family. Location is EXCELLENT - would highly recommend for walking distance into town without having to be in the hustle and bustle. Having Cliffys out front is an added BIG bonus. Loved it. If your into sharing great pics the options are endless. Outdoor space is lovely too.

The house itself was beautifully set out giving privacy to both sides of the house and for two couples. The courtyard was private and quiet, perfect for a relaxing few days. Everything was clean, precise and the communication of the hosts was very simple. The hosts also suggested we dine at their cafe on the final day. We last minute decided to get breakfast here and received the best service we had for our entire trip (our group ate out for every meal and received mediocre service up until our final day). Very easy stay and would definitely recommend. My partner is also heavily pregnant and couldn’t speak highly enough of the comfort of the house and location to the Main Street as mentioned that was easy walking distance yet far enough away to be quiet and private. Thank you for our stay, we look forward to staying again!

Absolutely amazing Stay! This barn would have to be right at the top of the list of any accomodation I’ve stayed in, such a beautifully styled barn. For a group of 8 it slept everyone perfectly, the beds were amazing! The barns in the perfect location, 5 minute walk from the Main Street in town, the Sunday markets are literally a 1 minute walk and Cliffy’s emporium is out the front on the doorstep for all those brunch lovers!! I will definitely be coming back to the Barn that’s for sure!

The Barn exceeded our expectations. It was nice and cosy with the fireplace and Aga over a cold weekend, soft fluffy pillows and comfy beds. The Barn was right around the corner to some great coffee - we would definitely stay again. MUST STAY DESTINATION!

Theresa was very accomodating when we arrived slightly before check-in, & was always super-swift in responding to messages. The barn was right next door to a cafe and a short stroll away from the centre of Daylesford. All amenities were top-notch; thoroughly recommend & would stay again!

The Barn is unique, close to cafes and the main strip and yet you can feel miles from anywhere . Three very comfortable beds, great country kitchen and every possible need catered for . We will be back in the cooler months
