The Gum’s was absolutely perfect. The secluded property has beautiful, serene surroundings with huge land and lots of gum trees so was perfect for lots of walks. The house was cozy, the bed’s were so comfortable! Spacious kitchen with locks or crockery and utensils was great as we cooked all our meals! And the outdoor barn with the pool table was a huge hit for my family - when we weren’t in the house eating or sleeping we’d be in the barn playing pool for hours! Highly recommend this airbnb property, would love to return!

Nothing to fault on this wonderful cottage. Perfect for 12, didn’t feel cramped and everyone loved the cubby house in the back. Watching the kangaroos during the evening was perfect. Hopefully we get to stay again

We loved our stay. The house was perfect for a group of girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. Loads of space, terrific kitchen and a lovely deck outside - perfect for an afternoon drink and yoga in the morning.

The gums was a beautiful and clean property to stay in. We arrived to this gorgeous little cottage garden which was so delightful . The home was a warm rustic, well presented home with an incredible outdoor patio overlooking gorgeous grounds filled with kangaroos. Each room had electric blankets, clean sheets and bathrooms were spotless. The kitchen was filled with lots of utensils and firewood was supplied for the fireplace which kept us warm through the cold nights.

The kids loved the barn and the house is well stocked and really clean. Beds comfy and fireplaces were perfect on the cold weekend we were there. Went for a walk on the property in the gum trees and saw some kangaroos. Really pretty. Highly recommend this property

The property is beautiful and the kids loved watching the kangaroos :) we spent lovely evenings cooking dinner in the spacious kitchen and lounging by the fire. Will definitely stay again.

The Gums is a great house and highly recommended for large groups wanting to be away from the crowd but still so close to Daylesford (15 minute drive). The outdoor space and view is great. The kitchen is very well decked out and the shed is a nice cosy extra space to relax in front of the fire.

The dining and kitchen area was one of the best I have ever seen, so much space and a well designed layout. Very comfortable lounge areas, with the shed area being a nice spot to separate from the other guests. The massive outdoor area is quite unique and scenic, it was great playing footy on the open space. 100% recommend this location to anyone with a larger group size, it was very spacious for our 12 guests. Thanks for letting us stay!

Plently of room for 4 small families to stay. The kids loved the massive block running up and down. Kangaroos seen in the late afternoon from afar. Rooms were cosy and decorated well. The husbands had a great time in the barn. Lovely stay for all our families!

A beautiful country escape for myself and my family. One of the most well equipped and functional kitchens I've come across, with plenty of interior and exterior space for all to enjoy. Cosy, comfortable beds with high quality linens.

Amazing property and one where a large group (say 8-10) can spread out or be all together quite easily. We took all we needed, so never left for the 3 days we were there. So the "out of town" nature of the property suited to a tee. If you are looking for peace and quite in a beautiful country house, you just found it!! Thanks for having us stay and we would rebook in a heart beat.

'The Gums' is very peaceful and in a beautiful location. Nearby Daylesford is only a short drive away. We enjoyed seeing the wildflowers in the bush, the adjacent farms and being able to wander through the property and along the adjoining lane. Our aged parents loved being around family and having the opportunity to enjoy the serenity. The rest of the family- who are in their 20's, also had a wonderful time. We particularly liked spending time on the deck, watching the birds and other wildlife, as we enjoyed the views. The house is well laid out, well kept and clean. It was great to see some of the features of the original cottage thoughtfully preserved after its renovation and extension. A beautiful place to stay in a magnificent location.

We stayed here over Christmas with a group of 10 people and found the space to be ideal for large groups. It had a large table (both inside and out) for everyone, the kitchen was very well stocked and the sleeping spaces were very clean and roomy. Would highly recommend.

Sensational experience! Our entire family absolutely loved the peace and tranquility of The Gums with all modern conveniences - and a hot tub! Fantastic well equipped house in a great location to recharge and reconnect with family. Thanks so much!!
